What Is Prelulu
Prelulu is an app focused on AI video chat and roleplay. According to its official website, users can interact with original AI characters through text, voice, and real-time video calls. The website describes it as an experience that "lets the story respond to you," where characters remember previous conversations.
Confirmed Key Features
- Text chat: Have text conversations with AI characters. The free plan offers a daily message allowance.
- Voice calls: Communicate with characters by voice.
- Real-time video calls: The website emphasizes that these are real-time video calls, not pre-rendered clips, and characters' faces react during conversation.
- Character memory: Characters remember names, jokes, and previously discussed topics, and calls can continue from where you left off.
- Create your own characters: Any plan lets you create your own AI characters, set their voice and appearance, and start calls.
- Multiple genres: The website lists character and scenario categories including fantasy, adventure, sci-fi, horror, anime, games, and RPG.
Use Cases
Prelulu is best suited for users who enjoy interactive storytelling, roleplay, and AI companion experiences. You can choose existing characters to enter a story, or create original characters and build text or call interactions around a specific setting.
Pricing and Limitations
The official pricing page shows that Prelulu offers a free start with a daily free message allowance and sign-up welcome credits usable for one short call. Membership plans start at $9.99 per month, with additional tiers at $29.99 and $99.99, all based on web pricing; in-app purchase prices are slightly higher. Voice and video calls consume credits, and different plans include different call minutes and credit benefits. Specific allowances and credit rules are subject to the account wallet and plan descriptions on the official website.
